Pharmacological Properties
Ambroxol, the active ingredient in Mucodad Oral Solution, is a potent mucolytic agent and a metabolite of bromhexine. It enhances the clearance of bronchial secretions by reducing mucus viscosity and stimulating ciliary activity. This action facilitates productive coughing, improves respiratory efficiency, and promotes easy and deep breathing, particularly in conditions associated with excessive or thick mucus.

Indications for Use
Mucodad Oral Solution is recommended for use in cases of respiratory diseases characterized by heavy or abnormal mucus secretion. It is particularly effective in:
- Infectious bronchitis (IB)
- Other upper or lower respiratory tract infections with impaired mucus transport
- As an adjunct therapy during respiratory stress or complications due to environmental or infectious factors
Contraindications
None reported.
Undesirable Effects
No adverse effects have been observed when used as recommended.
Posology and Method of Administration
- Poultry: 3 ml per 4 liters of drinking water, once daily for 3–5 days
- Cattle: 3 ml per 20 kg body weight, once daily for 5 days
- Horses: 3–7.3 ml per 100 kg body weight, once daily for 5 days
Overdose
No harmful effects are expected with proper use.
Withdrawal Period
Mucodad Oral Solution is safe for use in food-producing animals with zero withdrawal time for meat or milk. It is compatible with all therapeutics and feed additives.
