Composition: Each 1 ml contains:

  • generic name: amoxicillin as trihydrate 150 mg/ml

Pharmaceutical Properties:
Amoxydad contains Amoxicillin which is a broad spectrum semi-synthetic penicillin, bactericidal in action against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative pathogenic bacteria which include: Actinobacillus equuli, Actinobacillus lignieresi, Actinomyces bovis, Bacillus anthracis, Bordetella bronchiseptica, Clostridium species, Corynebacterium species, Escherichia coli, Fusiformis species, Haemophilus species, Moraxella species, Pasteurella species, Proteus mirabilis, Salmonella species, Staphylococci and Streptococc (penicillins sensitive strains).
Indications:
Amoxydad is indicated for: Alimentary tract infections, Respiratory tract infections, Skin and soft tissue infections (wounds, abscess, foot infections, and joint and navel ill), urogenital tract infections, for prevention of post-operative infection (treat before surgery) in cattle, sheep, dogs and cats.
Target species: cattle, sheep, dogs and cats.
Dosage and administration: Shake well before use.
0.25 ml Amoxydad per 5 kg b.w.once daily for 5 days. (7 mg Amoxicillin/kg b.w.)
Cattle&sheep: by intramuscular injection only
Dogs and cats: by intramuscular or subcutaneous injection

• Massage the injection site.
• Normal aseptic precautions should be taken.
• Use dry syringe for extraction of suspension to avoid hydrolysis of amoxicillin.
• Divide doses more than 20 ml in cattle and more than10 ml in sheep in two injection sites.
Withdrawal time:
Cattle meat: Do not use cattle meat for human consumption during treatment and for 18 days from last treatment.
Sheep meat: Do not use sheep meat for human consumption during treatment and for 10 days from last treatment Milk for human consumption must not be used during treatment and with in 24 hours from last treatment.
Contra-Indication:
• Do not handle the drug if you are sensitised to penicillin.
• In animals do not administer via intravenous route.
• As with other penicillins, amoxicillin should not be used orally or parenterally in rabbits, guinea
pigs, hamsters, gerbils or in any other small herbivores.
• Not effective against beta-lactamase producing organisms.
• Allergies to amoxicillin can occur rarely.
• Occasional local tissue reactions may occur following the use of this product.
Discard the unused material after 28 days following withdrawal of the first dose
Packing: Amber glass vials 100 ml, 250 ml.
Storage: Store in a dry place, below 30°C, don't refrigerate
