Pharmaceutical Properties:
Enrofloxacin has an extensive spectrum of activity, it can be used in single and mixed infections of bacterial origin and Mycoplasmosis.
Indications:
Dadtril 10% is an anti-infective agent for the treatment of infections caused by gram positive, gram negative bacteria sensitive to enrofloxacin and Mycoplasma in ruminants ( cattle, sheep and goats) which causing diseases of the respiratory and digestive tract ,urinary tract infections or skin wounds e.g. (Pasteurellosis, Mycoplasmosis, Colibacillosis, Colisepticemia, Bordetella, Staphylococcus, Heamophilus spp and Salmonellosis) and secondary diseases after viral infections e.g. "Bovine respiratory disease complex."
In Salmonellosis in un-weaned calves:
It would be advisable to start the treatment by injection on the first day and followed by oral administration on the subsequent days.
Target species: Cattle, sheep and goat.
Dosage:
Cattle, sheep and goat: 0.5 ml per 20 Kg of body weight by subcutaneous injection ( 2.5 mg Enrofloxacin /kg of b.w. ) daily for 3-5 days.
In sever respiratory infections and in Salmonellosis the dose should be: 1 ml per 20 kg body weight by subcutaneous injection (5 mg Enrofloxacin /kg of b.w. ) daily for 5 days.
Withdrawal time: Cattle, sheep and goats meat: 14 days.
Precautions: Not for use in animals producing animals for human consumption.
Packing: 50ml, 100 ml glass vials.
Storage: Store in dry place, below 30°C, Do not refrigerate.
