COMPOSITION: Each 1ml contains:
Gentamycin (as sulphate)
PROPERTIES: Gentamycin is a broad spectrum, bactericidal aminoglycoside antibiotic. It is active against a wide range of gram-negative and gram positive bacteria such as: E.coli, Salmonella, Klebsiella, Pseudomonas aerugenosa, Pasteurella, Staphylococcus, Streptococcus and Corynebacterium.
INDICATIONS: Gentodad 10% is indicated for the treatment of infectious diseases, caused by gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria sensitive to gentamycin.
In dogs and cats:

  1. Skin and soft tissue infections.
  2.  Urinary tract infections (cystitis, nephritis).
  3.  Uterine infection (endometritis and metritis).
  4.  Respiratory tract infections including pneumonia and tracheobronchitis.
  5.  Gastrointestinal tract infections (Colibacillosis, Salmonellosis).
  6.  Septicemia.
  7.  Arthritis.
  8.  Omphalitis.
  9.  Otitis and tonsilitis.

Horses, cattle, calves, sheep and goats: Gentodad 10% is indicated in the treatment of uterine infections (metritis), respiratory tract and soft tissue infections and wounds.
Poultry:
Gentodad 10% in indicated in the control of early mortality in chicks caused by susceptible E.coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Salmonella typhomurium. Also it is useful in the treatment of air sac infections (E.coli).
TARGET SPECIES: Poultry, Turkey, Dogs, Cats, Horses, Cattle, Calves, Sheep and Goats.
ADMINISTRATION AND DOSAGE:
Intramuscularly, subcutaneous or slow intravenous injection.
Dogs and cats: 0.5 ml per 10 kg b.w twice daily at the first day, then once daily for 5-7 days.
Poultry: 1 ml Gentodad 10% diluted in 100 ml sterile water to equal concentration 1%. then:
One-day-old chicks: 0.2 ml subcutaneous in the neck.
Poultry: 1 ml subcutaneous in the neck.
Turkey: 1-2 ml subcutaneous in the neck.
Large animals: 2-5 per 100 kg of body weight twice at the first day, then once daily for 5-7 days.
For treatment of metritis: Administer as intrauterine infusion.
Cattel: 2 ml Gentodad 10% diluted with 20 ml of sterile saline for 3-5 days .
Mares: 20-25 ml Gentodad 10% diluted with 200-500 ml of sterile saline for 3-5 days.
WITHDRAWAL TIME: Animal and birds should not be slaughtered within 5 weeks from the last treatment.
PRECAUTION:
* Care should be taken in case of renal disturbance.
* Over dose may result in neuromuscular block.
* It is contraindicated in case of anaesthetized animals.
