Properties:
Levamisole is a synthetic anthelmintic with activity against a broad spectrum of gastrointestinal worms and against lung worms. Levamisole causes an increase of the axial muscle tone, follow by paralysis of worms.
Indications:
Levamidad 7.5% injection use is recommended in cases of parasiticgastroenterities, lungwormand round worms in abomasal and intestine caused by the following organisms:
lungworms: Dictyocaulusspp. stomach worms: Ostertagia spp. (except inhibited Ostertagia larvae in cattle) , Haemonchus spp. Trichostrongylus spp.
Intestinal worms: Bunostomum spp., Oesophagostomum spp, Cooperiaspp, Trichostrongylides., Chabertia spp, Nematodirus spp.

Dosage and administration:
can be administered by the Subcutaneous route.
Cattle: 1 ml Levamidad 7.5% per 10 Kg bodyweight onec (7.5 mg Levamisole /Kg body weight).
Sheep: 1 ml Levamidad 7.5% per 10 Kg bodyweight once (7.5 mg Levamisole /Kg body weight).
Withdrawal Time:
Animals must not be slaughtered for human consumption during treatment and for 7 days from last treatment.
This product must not be used in cattle and sheep producing milk for human consuption.
Contraindication:
Levamisole is safe for use in cattle and sheep at the recommended dosages. However, if the recommanded dose rates are exceeded, animals may exhibit signs of impaired motor function such as muscle tremors, head shaking and increased slalivation, which are of a temporary nature.
Levamisole is contraindicated in cases of rental or hepatic impairment and delay use in cattle that are stressed due to vaccination, dehorning or castration.
Animals must not be treated within a period of 14 days before or after treament with organophosphorus compounds.
