Composition: Each 1 ml contains:

  • generic name: procaine penicillin 300 mg/ml

Pharmaceutical Properties:
PENIDAD contains penicillin which is narrow spectrum penicillin, bactericidal in action against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria which include: Corynebacterium pyogenes, Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiea, Listeria, Pasteurella haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida, Staphylococcus spp and Streptococcus spp (non-penicillinase producing).
Indications:
PENIDAD is indicated in the treatment of systemic infections caused by or associated with organisms sensitive to penicillin including: respiratory tract infections as pneumonia, septicaemia; urogenital tract infections, wound infections, and the control of secondary bacterial invaders in diseases of primary viral origin.
Target species: horses, cattle, sheep, dogs and cats.
Dosage and administration:
Shake well before use.
Cattle & horses: 12 mg Penicillin / kg b.w. daily for 3-5 days by intramuscular injection.
Sheep: 15 mg penicillin / kg b.w. daily for 3-5 days by intramuscular injection.
Dogs and cats: 30 mg penicillin /kg b.w. once daily for 3-5 days by subcutaneous injection.

• Massage the injection site.
• Normal aseptic precautions should be taken.
• Divide doses more than 20 ml in cattle and more than 5 ml in sheep in two
injection sites.
• Do not use the same injection site more than one time during a course of treatment.
Withdrawal time:
Cattle & Sheep meat: Do not use cattle and sheep meat for human consumption during treatment and for 5 days from last treatment.
Milk for human consumption must not be used during treatment and with in 2 days from last treatment.
Contra-Indication:
• Do not handle the drug if you are sensitised to penicillin.
• In animals do not administer via intravenous route.
• As with other penicillins, penicillin should not be used orally or parenterally
in rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils or in any other small herbivores.
• Not effective against beta-lactamase producing organisms.
• Allergies to penicillin can occur rarely.
• Occasional local tissue reactions may occur following the use of this product.
Discard the unused material after 28 days following withdrawal of the first dose.
Packing: Amber glass bottle size 100 ml, 200 ml.
Storage: Store in dry place, below 30°C.Don't refrigerate.
