Composition:
Each 1ml contains:

  • generic name: flunixin meglumine 50 mg/ml

Properties :
Flunixin is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug ( NSAID ) , and a non-narcotic
analgesic with antipyretic activites . Flunixin meglumine is used in the elleviation of
inflammation and pain associated with musculo-skeletal disorders and colic in horses;
the control of acute inflammation associated with infectious diseases in cattle .

Indications:
Horses:
Sedaflux is indicated in cases of Inflamation and pain associated with musculoskeletal
disorders, visceral pain associated with colic, endotoxaemia or septic shock
associated with gastric torsion and for other conditions in which the circulation of the
blood to the gastrointestinal tract is compromised.
Cattle:
Sedaflux is indicated in cases of control of acute inflammation associated with
respiratory diseases; use as adjunctive therapy in the treatment of acute mastitis.

Target species: Horses and Cattle.
Dosage and administration :
Can be administered by intravenous, intramuscular routs
Horses : (1.1 mg Flunixin / kg b.w) 1ml Sedaflux / 45 Kg by I.V or I.M route once a
day for up to 5 days.
Cattle :(2.2 mg Flunixin / kg b.w) 2ml Sedaflux / 45 Kg by I.V or I.M route once a
day for up to 3 days.
Withdrawal Time:
Cattle Meat: 7 days from last treatment, Milk: from treated cattle is safe.
Contra-indication:
Intra-arterial injection should be avoided in Cattle and Horses . Horses inadvertently
injected intra - arterialy can show adverse reactions. Signs can be ataxia,
incoordination, hyperventilation, hysteria and muscle weakness. Signs are transient
and disapear without antidotal medication within a few minutes.
Storage: Store below 30°C. Don't refrigerate, protect from light.
