Composition:
Each 1 ml contains:

  • generic name: tylosin (as tartrate) 50 mg/ml

    Properties:
    Tylosin is an antibiotic substance produced by a strain of streptomyces fradiae. Tylosin
    has a broad antibacterial spectrum against gram-positive and gram- negative bacteria,
    Mycoplasma species, it is also active certain spirochetes, and large viruses.
    Indications:
    Cattle:Tylodad 5٪ is used for treatment of pneumonia associated with Pasteurella
    multocida and Corynebacterium pyogenes, foot rot (Necrotic pododermatitis) and
    diphtheria caused by Spherophorus necrophorus, metritis caused by Coryne-bacterium
    pyogenes; and acute mastitis caused by Streptococcus and Staphylococcus species.
    Sheep and goats:Tylodad 5٪ is used for the treatment of caprine pleuropneumonia
    caused by Mycoplasma mycoides.
    Dogs and cats:Tylodad 5٪ is used for treatment of upper respiratory conditions
    including tracheobronchitis, bronchitis, tracheitis, laryngitis, feline penumonitis,
    cellulitis, pneumonia, otitis externa, metritis, tonsillitis, interdigital cysts inflammation,
    leptospirosis, secondary bacterial infections associated with virus diseases and as an aid
    in combating infections associated with surgical procedures or injuries.
    Administration and Dosage:
    For deep intramuscular injection.
    Cattle, Sheep, Goat: (10 mg per kg of body weight) 1 ml Tylodad 5% per 5 kg.bw daily
    intramuscularly (treatment should continue until 24 hours after the remission of disease
    signs, but should not exceed 5 days).
    Dogs and Cats : (10 mg per kg of body weight) 1 ml Tylodad 5% per 5 kg.bw daily at
    12-24 hours intervals.
    Withdrawal time:
    Cattle, Sheep, Goat meat: 21 days Milk: 72 hours
    Contraindications: Do not administer to horses or other equines.
    Caution: Do not mix Tylodad 5% injection with other parenteral solutions as this may
    cause precipitation of the active ingredient.
    Shelf life:
    Shelf-life of the veterinary medicinal product as packaged for sale: 3 years
    Shelf life after first opening of the immediate packaging: 28 days.
    Packaging: 100 ml glass vial.
    Storage: Store in a dry place below 30°C, do not refrigerate.
