Properties:
Tylosin is an antibiotic substance produced by a strain of Streptomyces Fradiae an actinomycete. Tylosin has a broad antibacterial spectrum against gram-positive and gram negative bacteria, Mycoplasma species, it is also active against certain spirochetes, and large viruses.
Indication:
Cattle: It is used for treatment of pneumonia associated with (Pasteurella Multocida) and (Corynebacterium Pyogenes), foot rot (Necrotic Pododermatitis) and diphtheria caused by (Spherophorus Necrophorus). Metritis caused by (Coryne-bacterium Pyogenes); and acute mastitis caused by (Streptococcus or Staphylococcus species).
Sheep and goats: it is used for the treatment of caprine pleuropneumonia caused by
(Mycoplasma Mycoides).
Dogs and cats: it is used for treatment of upper respiratory infections including tracheobronchitis, bronchitis , tracheitis , laryngitis , feline penumonitis , cellulitis, pneumonia, otitis externa, metritis , tonsillitis, interdigital cysts inflammation , leptospirosis , secondary bacterial infections associated with virus diseases and as an aid in combating infections associated with surgical procedures or injuries.
Dosage and administration:
Large animal(Cattle,camels,Sheep and goats):
0.5-1.0 ml /20kg body weight once daily for 5 days.
Dogs and Cats: 0.1 -0.5 ml /10 kg body weight once a day.
Poultry: 25 mg/ kg subcutaneous once.
Withdrawal time:
Animals and birds shouldn’t be slaughtered within 21 days from the last treatment.
Caution:
• Do not mix Tylodad Forte 30% L.A with other parenteral solutions as this may cause
precipitation of the active ingredient.
• Don't administrate to horses or other equine species may cause death.
• Don't use in lactating cattle.
• Should not be used in poultry producing eggs for human consumption.
Packing: Glass vials 100 ml.
Store in dry place below 30˚C, Don’t refrigerate.
