Composition

Each 1 g of Gendodad Water-Soluble Powder contains:

• Gentamicin (as sulphate) – 100 mg
• Doxycycline hydrochloride – 100 mg

Pharmacological Properties

Gendodad Water-Soluble Powder is a synergistic combination of gentamicin, an aminoglycoside antibiotic, and doxycycline, a broad-spectrum tetracycline derivative.
Gentamicin exerts strong bactericidal action against a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria including E. coli, Salmonella, Klebsiella, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Pasteurella, Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, and Corynebacterium. It is poorly absorbed from the gut, allowing for localized intestinal efficacy.
Doxycycline is rapidly absorbed and exhibits superior lipid solubility, allowing deeper bacterial penetration. It is more effective than traditional tetracyclines and remains stable in the presence of dietary calcium.

Poultry, calves, kids, and lambs.

Indications for Use

Gendodad Water-Soluble Powder is indicated for the prevention and treatment of bacterial infections such as:

• Chronic respiratory disease (CRD)
• Colibacillosis (E. coli)
• Salmonellosis
• Necrotic dermatitis
• Fungal infections in poultry

It helps reduce early chick mortality and improves productivity in poultry.
In calves, kids, and lambs, Gendodad Water-Soluble Powder is highly effective in treating pneumonia and bacterial enteritis.

Contraindications

None reported when used as recommended.

Undesirable Effects

No undesirable effects have been observed under normal use.

Posology and Method of Administration

• Poultry: 1 g per 1 liter of drinking water daily for 3–5 days.
• Calves, kids, and lambs: 10–20 mg per kg of body weight daily for 3–5 days.

Administer in drinking water or milk replacer, ensuring consistent intake.

Overdose

No specific signs of overdose have been reported.

Withdrawal Period

• Meat (poultry): Do not slaughter birds within 7 days from the last treatment.
• Milk and eggs: Not applicable.
