Composition: Each 1 g contains:
Doxycycline HCl 100 mg
Properties: Doxycycline belongs to the group of tetracyclines and acts bacteriostatic against many Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria like Bordetella, Campylobacter, E. coli, Haemophilus, Pasteurella, Salmonella, Staphylococcus and Streptococcus spp. Doxycycline is also active against Chlamydia, Mycoplasma and Rickettsia spp. The action of doxycycline is based on inhibition of bacterial protein synthesis. Doxycycline has a great affinity to the lungs and is therefore especially useful for treatment of bacterial respiratory infections.
Traget species: Poultry,calves, lambs and kids
Indications:
DOXYDAD 10% is indicated for prevention and treatment of respiratory and digestive infections caused by susceptible germs to doxycycline.
Dosage:
Poultry: (20 mg Doxycycline /kg B.W.) 2 gm DOXYDAD 10% / 2 liters of drinking water daily for 3 - 5 days.
Calves, lambs and kids:
( 20 mg Doxycycline / kg B.W.) 2 g DOXYDAD 10% / 10 kg of b.w. daily for 3 - 5 days.
Contra-indications:
* Not to be used for layers producing eggs for human consumption.
* Contraindicated in animals suffering from renal or hepatic impairment.
* Contraindicated in animals suffering from Hypersensitivity to activ ingredients.
* Not recommended in dogs, cats and horses.
* Do not mix with other solutions as precipitation may occurs.
* Do not mix with infusion containing calcium salts(chloride /gluconate)
Withdrawal time: Meats : 14 days .
Store in dry place, below 30°C.
