Pharmacological Properties
Florfenicol is a fluorinated derivative of thiamphenicol, belonging to the amphenicol group. It is a broad-spectrum, primarily bacteriostatic antibiotic with an enhanced in vitro activity compared to chloramphenicol against a wide range of pathogenic bacteria. It inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit, making it highly effective against both respiratory and systemic infections.

Poultry.
Indications for Use
Dadfenicol-10 Oral Liquid is indicated for the treatment and control of infections caused by florfenicol-sensitive microorganisms in cattle and poultry, including:
- Pasteurella spp.
- Haemophilus spp.
- Escherichia coli
- Salmonella spp.
- Mycoplasma spp.
- Chlamydia spp.
It is particularly effective in treating:
- Respiratory tract infections (e.g., CRD, pneumonia)
- Enteritis and colibacillosis
- Septicemia and systemic bacterial infections
Dadfenicol-10 Oral Liquid provides a broad-spectrum antimicrobial action, making it a powerful choice for intensive livestock systems.
Contraindications
- Do not use in combination with penicillins.
- Do not administer to laying hens producing eggs for human consumption.
Adverse Effects
No adverse effects have been reported when used as directed.
Dosage and Administration
- Cattle and poultry: Administer 1 ml per 1–2 liters of drinking water daily for 3 to 5 consecutive days, equivalent to 20 mg per kg body weight.
Ensure animals have continuous access to medicated water.
Overdose
No known risks of overdose under normal usage.
Withdrawal Period
Animals and birds should not be slaughtered within 5 days after the last treatment.

No special precautions are necessary for handlers under normal conditions.
