Description

Dadfenicol-20 Oral Liquid is a broad-spectrum veterinary antibiotic containing Florfenicol, a fluorinated derivative of thiamphenicol. This compound belongs to the amphenicol group and offers enhanced bacteriostatic activity compared to chloramphenicol, especially against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative pathogens. It is highly effective in treating respiratory and systemic infections in both cattle and poultry.

Indications for Use

Dadfenicol-20 Oral Liquid is indicated for the treatment and control of infections caused by:

  • Pasteurella spp., Haemophilus spp., Escherichia coli, Salmonella spp., Mycoplasma spp., and Chlamydia spp.
  • It is especially effective against respiratory infections (such as pneumonia and chronic respiratory disease), enteritis, colibacillosis, and septicemia.

Dosage and Administration

Administer via drinking water.

  • Use 0.5 ml per 1–2 liters of water for 3–5 days.
  • Equivalent to 20 mg of florfenicol per kg of body weight.

Withdrawal Period

Animals and birds should not be slaughtered for human consumption within 5 days from the last treatment.
Not to be used in laying hens producing eggs for human consumption.

Contraindications

  • Do not use in combination with penicillins.
  • Do not use in egg-laying birds.

Side Effects

No undesirable effects have been reported when used as directed.

Overdose

No adverse effects expected with recommended dosages.
