Pharmacological Properties

Enrofloxacin is a third-generation fluoroquinolone antibiotic with broad-spectrum antibacterial activity. It acts rapidly and effectively against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, E. coli, Haemophilus, Pasteurella, Klebsiella, and Salmonella.
It is also highly effective against atypical pathogens such as Mycoplasma (CRD), Rickettsia, and Chlamydia, making it a versatile solution in veterinary treatment.

Indications for Use

Dadtril 10% is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections in animals, including respiratory, gastrointestinal, and systemic infections.
It is especially effective against pathogens resistant to other antibiotics, making it a first-choice treatment for:

  • Chronic respiratory disease (CRD) in poultry
  • Enteric infections in young animals
  • Mixed bacterial infections in dogs and cats

Contraindications

No known contraindications when used as recommended.

Undesirable Effects

No undesirable effects have been reported under normal conditions of use.

Posology and Method of Administration

Poultry:

  • 1 ml per 2 liters of drinking water for 3 consecutive days
  • In cases of salmonellosis, extend treatment to 5 days

Preruminants (calves, lambs, kids):

  • 2.5 to 5 mg of enrofloxacin per kg body weight daily for 4 days

Dogs and Cats:

  • 5 mg of enrofloxacin per kg body weight daily for 4 days

Overdose

No adverse effects have been reported in cases of overdose when used appropriately.

Withdrawal Period

Animals and birds treated with Dadtril 10% should not be slaughtered for human consumption during treatment and for 5 days after the last dose.

Special Safety Precautions for the Person Administering the Product

No special precautions are required. However, general hygiene practices should be followed.
