Pharmacological Properties

DAD-QUINOPRIM Water Soluble Powder combines two potent antimicrobials:

  • Sulphaquinoxaline and Trimethoprim are individually bacteriostatic agents.
  • Together, they exhibit a synergistic bactericidal effect that significantly enhances therapeutic efficacy.
    This combination is especially effective against polyresistant bacteria, making it a reliable choice for managing difficult infections in poultry and young ruminants.

Indications for Use

DAD-QUINOPRIM Water-Soluble Powder is highly effective against a broad spectrum of gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria, including:
Salmonella, E. coli, Klebsiella, Proteus, Haemophilus (Coryza), Pasteurella, Clostridium, Corynebacterium, Streptococcus, and Staphylococcus.

It is also effective in:

  • Treatment of omphalitis in young animals and poultry
  • Management of cecal and intestinal coccidiosis in chickens

Its broad-spectrum coverage makes it a smart choice for both preventive and curative treatment protocols.

Contraindications

No contraindications have been reported when used as directed.

Undesirable Effects

No adverse effects have been observed under recommended conditions of use.

Dosage and Administration

  • Poultry: 1 g per 4 liters of drinking water daily for 5 consecutive days
  • Pre-ruminants (calves, lambs, kids): 1 g per 10–15 kg of body weight daily for 5 consecutive days

Ensure adequate consumption of medicated water to achieve therapeutic benefits.

Overdose

No signs of overdose have been recorded under normal usage.

Withdrawal Periods

  • Chickens: 1 day
  • Turkeys: 3 days
  • Calves and lambs: 3 days

Animals must not be slaughtered for human consumption within these periods following the last treatment.

No special precautions are required for individuals administering the product.
