Composition

Each 1 g contains:

• Doxycycline Hydrochloride – 200 mg
• Oxytetracycline Hydrochloride – 500 mg

Pharmacological Properties

DOX-DAD-OX combines two powerful tetracycline antibiotics to provide rapid and sustained antibacterial action.

Doxycycline is known for its high lipid solubility, allowing superior absorption from the gastrointestinal tract and deeper penetration into bacterial cells. It is more potent than traditional tetracycline and remains effective even in the presence of dietary calcium.

Oxytetracycline offers broad-spectrum activity with prolonged efficacy, targeting a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria such as Bordetella bronchiseptica, Actinomyces pyogenes, Pasteurella spp., Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., and E. coli. It also acts against Mycoplasma, Rickettsiae, Chlamydia, certain protozoa, and spirochetes.

Indications for Use

DOX-DAD-OX Water-Soluble Powder is indicated for the prevention and treatment of infections affecting the gastrointestinal, respiratory, urogenital, and systemic systems in poultry.
Effective in managing:

• Chronic Respiratory Disease (CRD) caused by Mycoplasma
• E. coli infections (colibacillosis)
• Salmonella infections (salmonellosis)
• Infectious coryza
• Arthritis and omphalitis
• Spirochetosis, actinomycosis, Rickettsia, Chlamydia, and certain protozoal infections

Contraindications

Do not use in laying hens producing eggs for human consumption.

Undesirable Effects

No known adverse effects when used as directed.

Posology and Method of Administration

Administer via drinking water:

Poultry: 1 g of DOX-DAD-OX Water-Soluble per 2 liters of drinking water daily, for 5–7 consecutive days.

Overdose

No overdose effects have been reported when used according to the recommended dosage.

Withdrawal Period

• Meat: 7 days
• Not for use in egg-producing layers
