Composition
Each 1 g contains:
- Doxycycline hydrochloride 500 mg
Pharmacological Properties
Doxydad 50% is a potent, broad-spectrum antibiotic from the tetracycline group.
Its active ingredient, doxycycline, is known for its high gastrointestinal absorption and superior lipid solubility, allowing deep and effective penetration into bacterial cells. Compared to older tetracyclines, doxycycline is more active and remains effective even when calcium is present in the feed.
This enhances its ability to fight infections in poultry caused by Mycoplasma spp., Pasteurella spp., E. coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella spp., and other susceptible organisms.
