Tilmicosin – 250 mg

Pharmacological Properties

Tilmodad Oral Solution contains tilmicosin, a semi-synthetic macrolide antibiotic known for its broad-spectrum activity against Mycoplasma spp. and primarily Gram-positive bacteria, with additional efficacy against selected Gram-negative organisms such as Pasteurella.
Tilmicosin acts by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, leading to bacteriostatic or bactericidal effects depending on concentration and target organism.
Its excellent tissue penetration and long duration of action make it highly effective in controlling respiratory tract infections in poultry.

Target Species

Chickens (broilers and non-laying birds).

Indications for Use

Tilmodad Oral Solution is indicated for the treatment of respiratory infections in chickens caused by Mycoplasma spp., Pasteurella spp., and other tilmicosin-sensitive organisms.
It is especially useful during outbreaks or stress-related respiratory diseases.

Contraindications

• Do not use in birds producing eggs for human consumption.
• Do not allow horses or other equines access to medicated water, as tilmicosin is toxic to them.

Undesirable Effects

No adverse effects are commonly observed when used as directed.

Posology and Method of Administration

Poultry:
Administer via drinking water at a dose of:
60 ml per 200 liters of water daily for 3 consecutive days
(Equivalent to 75 mg tilmicosin per liter of drinking water)

For recurrent infections or during periods of stress, treatment may be repeated for 24 to 48 hours using the same dosage.

Overdose

No overdose-related effects have been reported under recommended usage.

Withdrawal Period

Meat: 7 days after the last administration.
Do not use in layers producing eggs for human consumption.
