Composition

Each 1 g contains:

• Oxytetracycline HCl: 200 mg
• Colistin (as sulphate): 400,000 IU
• Vitamin B1 HCl: 4 mg
• Vitamin B2: 6 mg
• Vitamin B6 HCl: 6 mg
• Niacin: 50 mg
• Calcium-D-pantothenate: 22 mg

Pharmacological Properties

Oxycol WSP is a synergistic combination of oxytetracycline and colistin, two potent antibiotics that provide a broad spectrum of antibacterial activity. The product is effective against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including Mycoplasma, Rickettsia, and large viruses from the psittacosis group. The inclusion of B-complex vitamins supports recovery, enhances metabolic functions, and helps maintain health during illness and stress.

Target Species

Poultry, pre-ruminants (e.g., calves, lambs), and foals.

Indications for Use

Oxycol WSP is indicated for the treatment of infections caused by susceptible organisms, including:

• Streptococci, Staphylococci, Clostridia, Corynebacterium, Salmonella, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella, Proteus
• Mycoplasma, Rickettsia, Chlamydia
• Large viruses from the psittacosis group

These pathogens are commonly associated with respiratory, gastrointestinal, and systemic diseases in poultry and young animals.

Contraindications

None known under recommended conditions of use.

Undesirable Effects

No undesirable effects have been reported when used as directed.

Posology and Method of Administration

Administer via drinking water or feed:

• Poultry:
  • 1 g per 1–2 liters of drinking water daily for 4–5 days
  • As feed premix: 1 kg per 1–2 tons of feed daily for 5–7 days
• Pre-ruminants and foals:
  • 1 g per 20 kg body weight every 8–12 hours for 5–7 days

Ensure continuous access to medicated water or feed during treatment.

Overdose

No adverse effects reported in case of overdose when used properly.

Withdrawal Period

Do not slaughter treated animals or birds for human consumption within 5 days of the last administration.
