Pharmacological Properties
Amprolium is a coccidiostat from the pyrimidine derivative class. It acts as a competitive analogue of thiamine (vitamin B1), which is essential for coccidia metabolism. By blocking thiamine uptake, Amprolium disrupts energy production in the parasite, resulting in effective control of a broad spectrum of Eimeria species.

Poultry, rabbits, calves, and lambs
Indications for Use
Amprodad 60% Oral Powder is indicated for the prevention and treatment of coccidiosis, especially:
- Caecal and intestinal coccidiosis in poultry
- Coccidiosis in rabbits
- Coccidiosis in calves and lambs
Its high efficacy helps reduce production losses, improve animal welfare, and support optimal growth performance.
Contraindications
No known contraindications when used according to the recommended dosage.
Undesirable Effects
None reported under normal conditions of use.
Posology and Method of Administration
Poultry:
1 g per 2 litres of drinking water daily for 5–7 consecutive days.
Calves and lambs:
0.5 g per 30 kg body weight daily for 5 consecutive days.
Ensure continuous access to medicated water during treatment.
Overdose
No adverse effects have been observed in case of overdose under normal usage conditions.
Withdrawal Period
Do not slaughter animals for human consumption within 3 days after the last treatment.
