Pharmacological Properties

Amprodad Plus Premix contains amprolium hydrochloride, a pyrimidine derivative with proven efficacy against Eimeria bovis and Eimeria zuernii, the most common causative agents of coccidiosis in calves. Amprolium acts by interfering with thiamine metabolism in coccidia, thereby inhibiting their development and replication. It is a safe and effective solution for both prevention and treatment of coccidiosis, without causing harmful residues or adverse effects when used as recommended.

Indications for Use

Amprodad Plus Premix is used as an aid in the prevention and treatment of coccidiosis caused by E. bovis and E. zuernii in calves. Its early use during outbreaks helps reduce mortality and improve weight gain and feed efficiency.

Contraindications

None known under recommended conditions of use.

Undesirable Effects

No undesirable effects have been reported.

Posology and Method of Administration

Administer orally via feed.

• For prevention: 5 mg amprolium per kg body weight daily for 21 consecutive days during outbreaks.
• For treatment: 10 mg amprolium per kg body weight daily for 5 consecutive days.

Adjust dosage according to body weight and ensure uniform mixing in feed.

Overdose

No adverse effects have been observed in cases of overdose under recommended conditions.

Withdrawal Period

Animals should not be slaughtered for human consumption within 24 hours of the last treatment.
