Pharmacological Properties

Albenzodad 600 Bolus is a highly effective anthelmintic from the benzimidazole group. It acts by disrupting microtubule formation in parasites, leading to their death and elimination. The product shows strong activity against a wide range of nematodes, particularly gastrointestinal nematodes, and at higher doses, it is also effective against cestodes and adult trematodes.

Sheep, goats, cattle, and camels

Indications for Use

Albenzodad 600 Bolus is indicated for the treatment and control of:

  • Gastrointestinal and pulmonary nematodes
  • Cestodes (tapeworms)
  • Adult liver flukes such as Fasciola hepatica and Fasciola magna

Its broad-spectrum action makes it an ideal choice for integrated parasite management in ruminant herds.

Contraindications

Do not use during early stages of pregnancy.

Undesirable Effects

No adverse effects have been observed when used according to the recommended dosage.

Posology and Method of Administration

Administer orally using appropriate dosing equipment based on body weight:

Sheep and goats

  • Liver flukes: 1 bolus per 80 kg body weight
  • Roundworms, lungworms, and tapeworms: 0.5 bolus per 60 kg body weight

Cattle and camels

  • Liver flukes: 1 bolus per 60 kg body weight
  • Roundworms, lungworms, and tapeworms: 1 bolus per 80 kg body weight

Overdose

No signs of toxicity have been reported at the recommended dosages.

Withdrawal Period

  • Meat
    • Cattle: 14 days
    • Sheep: 4 days
  • Milk
    • Cows: 2.5 days
    • Ewes: 3 days
