Pharmacological Properties
Ivermectin is a highly effective antiparasitic agent that acts against a wide range of internal and external parasites. It works by enhancing the release of inhibitory neurotransmitters, causing paralysis and death of the parasite.

Sheep and goats.
Indications for Use
Ivodad® 0.08% Drench is indicated for the treatment and control of:
Gastrointestinal and lung nematodes, including:
Ostertagia spp., Trichostrongylus spp., Cooperia spp., Nematodirus spp., Dictyocaulus spp.
Ectoparasites, including:
Mange mites, sucking lice, ticks, eye worms, skin worms, and screw worm flies.
Its broad-spectrum action provides effective protection against major parasitic threats affecting small ruminants.
Contraindications
No known contraindications when used as directed.
Undesirable Effects
Occasional coughing may occur during or shortly after administration. This effect is typically mild and transient.
Posology and Method of Administration
Administer orally at a dose of:
2.5 ml per 10 kg of body weight (equivalent to 200 mcg ivermectin/kg b.w.).
- Can be safely used during all stages of pregnancy.
- Does not affect fertility in breeding rams, ewes, or young lambs.
Overdose
No adverse effects expected at recommended dosages. Ivermectin has a wide safety margin in target species.
Withdrawal Period
- Meat: 11 days.
- Milk: 28 days.
