  • Neomycin sulphate – 27.77 mg
  • Sulphaguanidine – 333.33 mg
  • Chlortetracycline HCl – 27.77 mg
  • Kaolin – 333.33 mg
  • Bismuth subnitrate – 166.66 mg
  • Vitamin A – 833.33 IU
  • Pectin – 27.77 mg

Pharmacological Properties

New-Diastop Powder offers a potent combination of antibacterial and antiprotozoal agents for gastrointestinal infections in animals.

  • Neomycin and chlortetracycline act against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.
  • Sulphaguanidine is effective against intestinal protozoa, especially Eimeria spp. (coccidia).
  • Kaolin, bismuth subnitrate, and pectin protect the intestinal mucosa by absorbing toxins and forming a protective coating.
  • Vitamin A supports the healing of damaged epithelial tissues and enhances gut integrity.

This formulation effectively controls bacterial and protozoal diarrhea while promoting intestinal recovery.

Target Species

Calves, lambs, kids, cows, horses, sheep, and goats.

Indications for Use

  • Treatment of bacterial enteritis and diarrhea in calves, lambs, kids, and adult ruminants.
  • Effective as supportive treatment in coccidiosis in lambs and kids.
  • Provides relief in cases of intestinal poisoning and toxic digestive upset.

Contraindications

No known contraindications when used as directed.

Undesirable Effects

No adverse effects have been reported under normal usage.

Posology and Method of Administration

Administer orally, mixed with water or feed:

  • Cows and horses: 24 g per head, twice daily for 3–5 days.
  • Calves: 12 g per head, twice daily for 3–5 days.
  • Lambs, kids, small calves: 6 g per head, twice daily for 3–5 days.

Ensure adequate hydration and consult a veterinarian before use in severely dehydrated animals.

Overdose

No overdose effects reported when used as recommended.

Withdrawal Period

  • Meat: Animals should not be slaughtered for human consumption within 5 days of the last treatment.
  • Milk: Not for human consumption within 36 hours after the last dose.
