Pharmacological Properties
Diclofenac sodium is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that exerts anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic effects. Its mechanism of action involves the inhibition of prostaglandin synthetase (cyclooxygenase), an enzyme responsible for the synthesis of prostaglandins which mediate inflammation, pain, and fever.

Indications for Use
Dad-Diclovet Injection is indicated for:
- Relief of pain, inflammation, and fever associated with musculoskeletal conditions such as arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, polymyositis, dermatomyositis, and osteoarthritis
- Management of dental pain
- Treatment of post-operative and post-traumatic pain, especially when accompanied by inflammation
- Use as an anti-spasmodic agent in relevant cases
This product provides effective symptomatic relief, helping animals return to normal activity and comfort rapidly.
Contraindications
None reported under normal conditions of use.
Undesirable Effects
No adverse effects have been observed when used according to recommended guidelines.
Posology and Method of Administration
Administer by intramuscular injection as follows:
- Cattle, camels, horses: 4–10 ml per 50 kg body weight per day
- Sheep, goats: 0.8–2.4 ml per 10 kg body weight per day
- Dogs, cats: 0.5–1 ml per 5 kg body weight per day
Treatment may be repeated as necessary for up to 3–5 consecutive days.
Overdose
No specific adverse effects reported. Administer only as directed.
Withdrawal Periods
- Meat: 28 days
- Milk: 7 days
