Each 1 ml contains:
- Lincomycin hydrochloride: 50 mg
- Spectinomycin sulfate: 100 mg
Pharmaceutical Form
Sterile injectable solution.
Pharmacological Properties
Lincomycin is an antibiotic produced by Streptomyces lincolnensis. It is water-soluble and active against a wide range of Gram-positive bacteria, as well as certain Mycoplasma, Spirochetes, and anaerobic organisms.
Spectinomycin, derived from Streptomyces flavopersicus, is also water-soluble and exhibits in vivo and in vitro activity against many Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, in addition to Mycoplasma. Both antibiotics are inactive against fungi, yeasts, and viruses.
The combination of lincomycin and spectinomycin provides a synergistic antibacterial effect, enhancing the therapeutic spectrum and efficacy against mixed infections.
