Composition

Each 1 ml contains:

  • Enrofloxacin: 50 mg

Pharmacological Properties

Enrofloxacin is a synthetic fluoroquinolone with broad-spectrum bactericidal activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, as well as Mycoplasma species. It acts by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, essential enzymes for bacterial replication. Due to its high tissue penetration and prolonged half-life, Dadtril 5% Injection is effective in both acute and chronic infections, including mixed and secondary bacterial complications.

Cattle, sheep, goats, rabbits, poultry, dogs, and cats

Indications for Use

Dadtril 5% Injection is indicated for the treatment of respiratory and gastrointestinal infections of bacterial origin, including:

  • Pasteurellosis
  • Mycoplasmosis
  • Colibacillosis and colisepticemia
  • Salmonellosis
  • Secondary bacterial infections following viral diseases (e.g., Bovine Respiratory Disease Complex)

In cases of salmonellosis in unweaned calves, it is recommended to initiate treatment with injection, followed by oral therapy if necessary.

Contraindications

  • Do not administer to growing dogs during the rapid growth phase due to the risk of cartilage damage.
  • Avoid use in animals hypersensitive to fluoroquinolones.

Undesirable Effects

  • No adverse effects have been reported at recommended doses.

Posology and Method of Administration

Administer via subcutaneous injection:

  • Cattle, sheep, goats: 0.5 ml per 10 kg body weight
    In severe respiratory infections or salmonellosis: 1.0 ml per 10 kg body weight
  • Rabbits, dogs, cats: 0.1 ml per kg body weight
  • Poultry: 0.2 ml per kg body weight

Treatment duration:

  • 3 consecutive days
  • Extend to 5 days in cases of salmonellosis

Overdose

No specific overdose effects have been observed. In case of accidental overdose, symptomatic treatment is recommended.

Withdrawal Periods

  • Meat (calves and sheep): 14 days
  • Milk: 84 hours
  • Do not use in exotic animals and birds intended for human consumption.
