Iveroxinide Injection

Composition

Each 1 ml contains:

  • Ivermectin – 10 mg
  • Rafoxanide – 125 mg

Appearance: yellow to yellowish, clear solution

Pharmacological Properties

Iveroxinide Injection is a combination of two potent antiparasitic agents:

  • Ivermectin, a macrocyclic lactone, effective against internal and external parasites
  • Rafoxanide, a salicylanilide compound, active mainly against liver fluke (Fasciola spp.)

This formulation provides a broad spectrum of activity against gastrointestinal and pulmonary nematodes, liver flukes, and a variety of ectoparasites in cattle and sheep.

Indications for Use

Iveroxinide Injection is indicated for the treatment and control of:

In cattle:

  • Gastrointestinal roundworms: Ostertagia ostertagi, Haemonchus spp., Trichostrongylus spp., Cooperia spp., Oesophagostomum spp., Nematodirus spp., Strongyloides spp., Bunostomum spp.
  • Lungworms: Dictyocaulus spp.
  • Liver flukes: Fasciola hepatica, Fasciola gigantica
  • Skin worms and eye worms
  • Cattle grubs: Hypoderma spp., Dermatobia spp.
  • Mange mites: Psoroptes bovis
  • Sucking lice: Linognathus spp., Haematopinus spp.
  • Screw-worm flies and ticks

In sheep:

  • Gastrointestinal roundworms: Ostertagia spp., Haemonchus spp., Trichostrongylus spp., Cooperia spp., Oesophagostomum spp., Nematodirus spp., Strongyloides spp., Gaigeria spp., Chabertia spp.
  • Lungworms: Dictyocaulus spp.
  • Liver flukes
  • Nasal bots: Oestrus ovis
  • Mange mites

Contraindications

  • Do not administer intravenously or intramuscularly
  • For subcutaneous use only

None reported when used as recommended

Posology and Method of Administration

Administer subcutaneously only. In cases of heavy infestation, treatment may be repeated after 7 days.

Cattle dosing:
Administer 1 ml per 50 kg body weight

Overdose

No adverse effects observed at recommended dosage levels

Withdrawal Periods

  • Cattle and camels: 35 days
  • Sheep: 42 days

Do not use in animals producing milk for human consumption.
