Kanadad-10 Injection

Kanamycin Sulphate Injectable Solution

Composition

Each 1 ml contains:

  • Kanamycin (as sulphate) 100 mg

Pharmaceutical Form

Sterile injectable solution.

Pharmacological Properties

Kanamycin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic effective against Gram-positive bacteria such as Corynebacterium and Staphylococcus, as well as Gram-negative bacteria including Aerobacter, Enterobacter, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella, Proteus, Salmonella, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

Bacteroides species are resistant to kanamycin.

Effective blood levels are rapidly achieved within 30 minutes after intramuscular injection, ensuring fast and efficient antibacterial action.

Target Species

Cattle, calves, horses, foals, sheep, poultry, dogs, and cats.

Indications for Use

Kanadad-10 Injection is indicated for the treatment of septicemia, mastitis, endometritis, urogenital and respiratory infections, salmonellosis, secondary infections following viral diseases, abscesses, and phlegmons.

It is especially useful when microorganisms are resistant to other antibiotics. Kanamycin is bactericidal even at low doses, which helps slow down the development of resistance.
