Tylosin tartrate – 1000 mg
Pharmacological Properties
Tylosin is a macrolide antibiotic produced by Streptomyces fradiae, with a strong antibacterial effect primarily against Gram-positive bacteria, in addition to Mycoplasma spp., certain spirochetes, and some Gram-negative organisms (excluding coliforms).
Its action is particularly effective against Mycoplasma gallisepticum, the main pathogen responsible for chronic respiratory disease (CRD) in chickens and infectious sinusitis in turkeys.

Indications for Use
Tylodad Water-Soluble Powder is indicated for the treatment and prevention of respiratory infections in poultry caused by:
- Mycoplasma gallisepticum
- Other Gram-positive bacteria
- Certain Gram-negative bacteria, spirochetes, and large viruses
It is especially effective in controlling:
- Chronic respiratory disease (CRD) in chickens
- Infectious sinusitis in turkeys
Contraindications
- Do not use in laying hens producing eggs for human consumption.
Undesirable Effects
No undesirable effects have been reported under recommended use.
Posology and Method of Administration
Poultry:
- 50–100 mg tylosin per kg body weight per day for 5 consecutive days
- Equivalent to: 1 g per 2 liters of drinking water daily for 5 days
Overdose
No adverse effects have been observed in cases of overdose at recommended levels.
Withdrawal Period
- Chickens: 1 day
- Turkeys: 5 days
