Composition: Each bolus contains:

• product name: S.D.M DAD bolus
• generic name: sulphadinidine 5 g/bolus
• dosage form: bolus
• packaging: 20 bolus

Properties:
Sulphadimidine is antibacterial product which is effective against gram negative and gram positive bacteria, it is rapidly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and well distributed through the body tissues, thus a high and prolonged blood concentration is produced when given orally, it is also slowly and mainly excreted in the urine.
Indications:
SDM DAD bolus is used for treatment of the following diseases caused by organisms susceptible to sulfadiminidine: bacterial scours (colibacillosis) caused by Escherichia coli , necrotic pododermatitis (foot rot) and calf diphtheria caused by Fusobacterium necrophorum , bacterial pneumonia associated with Pasteurella spp. , and coccidiosis caused by Eimeria bovis and E. zurnii in calves.
Target species: Calves.
Dosage:
Initial dose: 1 bolus / 25 kg body weight for 1 days (0.2 g sulphadimidine /kg body weight for 1 days). Maintenance dose: 1/2 bolus / 25 kg body weight for 4 days (0.1 g sulphadimidine /kg body weight for 4 days).
Withdrawal time: Calves meats: 11 days.
Packing: P.V.C. Blister in a carton box: 20 bolus.
Storage: Store in dry place, below 30°C.
