Composition: Each 1 g contains:
Levamisole HCl 118 mg
Indications:
Cattle, Sheep and Goats: Levamisole is highly effective against round worms in abomasal, intestine & lung including Haemonchus spp.,Trichostrongylus spp., Esophagostomum spp., Dictyocaulus spp., etc .
Poultry: Levamisole has a unique effect against mature and immature worms infest intestine (Ascaridia galli) and caecum (Heterakis gallinae).
Contraindications: Levamisole is contraindicated:
· In lactating animals producing milk for human consumption.
· Animals have significant renal or hepatic impairment.
· delay use in cattle that are stressed due to vaccination, dehorning or castration.
N.B. Levamisole is considered relatively safe to use in large animals that are pregnant
Adverse Effects: May seen in cattle include muzzle-foaming or hypersalivation, excitement or trembling, lip-licking and head shaking. These effects are generally noted with higher than recommended doses or if levamisole is used concomitantly with organophosphates. Symptoms generally subside within 2 hours.
Target species: Cattle, Sheep, Goats and Poultry.
Dosage:
Poultry: 0.2 g per 1 kg body weight in drinking water for 12 hours. The same dose should be repeated after 21 days. (18-36 mg Levamisole / kg b.w)
Cattle, Sheep, Goats:
1 g per 15 kg body weight as a single dose. (7.5 mg Levamisole / kg b.w)
Withdrawal Time: Cattle, Sheep, Goats: 3 days. Poultry: 7 days. Eggs: Nil.
Store in dry place below 30˚C.
